THE STORY OF A PHOTOGRAPHER

The photo to the left was one of my first photographs that I received a lot of compliments on. In fact, there is a print of it hanging up in my parent's house. I have always felt a call towards desolate landscape photos, this probably comes from living in South Dakota for 7 years. The empty landscape lends itself well to a black-and-white edit.

My two trips to Alaska were very important to my photography career. I was drawn to the mountains (the complete opposite of landscapes in South Dakota) and trying to capture their massive scale and beautiful colors. You can see some of my photos from that trip below.
